There are stories that deserve to be told, no matter what. This is one such story.

Two mothers of children with Down Syndrome, motivated by the banning of the Dear Future Mom video in France wanted us to tell a different story. They didn’t want to normalize Down Syndrome, but instead wanted to show how their experience was unique and equally valid. And that the world would be worse off without people with Down Syndrome.

The insight for this video came from the conversations we had with these (and other) families. They felt that everyone always focused on the negative aspects of Down Syndrome, and that not enough people knew their uniquely positive characteristics.

There is a downside to everything in life, and yet we don’t dwell on it. So why do it here?

This video takes the negative aspects of Down Syndrome and shows how even those have an upside. In the end, we showed that the world is a better place because of them.
